It was the model I made in 2006 Halloween, long time ago~I made it within the evening, but it didn't turn out to be good. Now wet-folding is used to make it more natural and real. I used the most common wrapping paper, it's strong . The size is 25cm*25cm

Before you wet the paperm devide it into 32 segments. Make a vally fold and a mountain fold. You need't ask for a exact position of the creases. Just make the middle part the narrowest , the upper part more than two times the wide of the middle one. By changing the proportion, you can get varieties of mushrooms. I'll do that later.
Wet the paper. I got it completely wet, and water drops can drop off the paper. Wait for a moment for it to dry a llittle, until you find it foldable. This process can make the every part of the paper can equally be damped.
fold it along the crease.
make pleats
join the 2 edges of the paper, by inserting one edge into the layers of the other.(or you can use glue )
a twist in the upper part.
grab the paper downward, be careful not to tear it.
That's the upper side view.
Grab the pleats out,cover then with the upper paper; roll the dege inside. You need some glue to to keep the shape. And pinch the bottem part into a stick.You will find there is a whole on the top, try to make it smaller when shaping.
